What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a revolutionary technology that allows achieving straight and beautiful teeth by using clear, almost invisible aligners instead of visible metal brackets and wires. The technology is patented, and back by several decades of research and development and there are also millions of people worldwide who have achieved straight teeth through Invisalign.

Straightening teeth through Invisalign involves wearing a number of clear and removable aligners that are worn for several weeks, one after the other through a series. These are custom designed and made o specifically fit your teeth and each time an aligner is worn, a certain pressure is placed on the teeth and this causes micro-movements of the teeth. At the end of anywhere between 18-36 set of aligners, the teeth will be in the perfect, straight position.

Initial Consultation and Treatment plan

At the initial consultation, we will do brief but thorough visual assessment of the teeth to decide whether Invisalign treatment is best for and also discuss the time frame, cost and any other questions that you may have. If you are keen to proceed with the treatment, we will make another appointment to take some moulds and photos of your teeth to be able to plan, design and develop 3D printed clear aligners.

Once we have the set of aligners, we will show you how to wear them and take care of them. Typically, the aligners are worn for two weeks each, before progressing to the next one. We will need to see you every 4-6 weeks to ensure the treatment is proceeding well and to provide you with further aligners. At the end of typically 6-12months, before you know it, you will have straight beautiful teeth.
